Why dreamers make the best entrepreneurs

Hey there, if you don’t already know me, I’m Holly and I’m a dreamer just like you. The word dream has had a significant meaning to me ever since I can remember. I’ve lived by it and have always been a dreamer. The best part about being a dreamer is the ability to have belief in the wildest things and do whatever it takes to make them come true.

It takes a dream for something to start.

So why do dreamers make the best entrepreneurs?

I think optimism plays a huge part in this because they focus on looking forward instead of backward. Ya know the glass half-full kind of optimism. They are the people who stay up all night dabbling with an idea until they can’t keep their eyes open anymore. They are the people who get chills from a quote, that have to stop pull the car over to capture a sunset and they are the ones who get lost in a moment.

1. They have their heads in the clouds but their feet on the ground

It’s quite easy to get lost in all of the ideas that swim around, but in reality they are willing to do whatever it takes to make their dreams happen because they don’t just dream, they do. That’s what makes them kick-ass entrepreneurs because underneath all of those dreams is optimism, courage, and drive to do what people say they can’t, or to do the wildest thing that has crossed their imagination. They are the ones that go to great lengths to do the impossible.

2. They can better service their clients because they can see the bigger picture

The sky's the limit in the dreamer’s eyes and anything is possible. They can see past the normal expectations and take ideas to the next level. The ability to create ideas is huge because instead of thinking of what could go wrong, they think of what could go right and run a million miles with it.

3. They have failures, but they never give up no matter what

There will be setbacks, and what would life be without them? But they never give up because dreams aren’t built overnight, and they are willing to put in the work to make it happen. You cannot have success without failure and it’s normal to fall on your face sometimes. The important thing is that they keep getting back up and try again.

4. They don’t care what other people think

I think that as an entrepreneur, there can be some backlash once in awhile, and in that case they don’t let anyone get in the way of their dreams. It’s more fuel for their fire, and they’ll continue to burn bright. There’s always going to be someone who tells you that you can’t or that your dream is too big or small, but the only thing that matters is pushing through those thoughts and those people.

There’s a difference between just dreaming and then making those dreams happen.
